Jaimis is known for her playful approach to teaching and encouraging students to step outside of their comfort zone, tap in to their strengths, and try things they didn’t believe were possible. She has been teaching full-time for 10 years with 500 hour certifications in Prana Vinyasa with Shiva Rea and Maria Garré and Rocket Yoga. Her teachings are steeped in Ayurveda, living in balance, learning to trust yourself, and radical self-love.

Kiesha is a full-time yoga teacher who began practicing Yoga in 2000. Over the past seven years she has created yoga programs, lead yoga retreats, managed the daily operations of a yoga studio, and was recently appointed as Co-Director of the Yoga Retreat for Women of Color at Kripalu Retreat Center. Known to many as the original black girl yoga magic, Kiesha is a humble soul who connects to all beings first at their core.

Marcy trained at UCSB and in India, and has taught at Davidson College, UNC Charlotte, and The Stan Greenspon Center for Peace & Social Justice. As Founder and Creative Director of Sanskrit Revolution, Marcy teaches the language and culture of yoga at studios nationally. Her classes at Embodied Philosophy, an online educational platform, have a global reach. Marcy’s goal is to deepen people’s knowledge and inspire personal growth.

Rebby is a yoga teacher and equity educator in Charlotte, NC. Rebby’s personal mission is to operate from connection, seeking justice and empower voices. Rebby generates space for connection, empowerment and self-discovery through activism and leadership. Their experience drives their passion to include diverse identities around race, gender identity, sexual orientation, body, ability and more. Rebby has been trained in Baptiste Yoga, Rocket Vinyasa, Y12SR and is an Ambassador for SweatNET Charlotte and lululemon.

A life-long student of yoga, Amani received her 200 and 300 hour yoga certifications at the Asheville Yoga Center, and has been teaching yoga for over 18 years. In 2016 she graduated from the Asheville School of Massage and Yoga's Ayurveda program. Her continued studies include Ayurveda, Yoga Nidra, and Vedanta. When not teaching classes, workshops, or seeing clients, you can find her mixing teas and herbal preparations, drinking coffee, or wranglin' her 5 children.

Shanna has been practicing Ashtanga Yoga and studying the Yoga Sutras since 2001. She has studied in Mysore with Sharath Jois and is the Director of Ashtanga Yoga at Khali Yoga in Charlotte, NC. She has written for Yoga International, OmStars and the Ashtanga Dispatch.

DR. LAURA WATTERSON

Laura is a Chiropractic Physician and Sports Therapist who works with amateur and professional athletes. As the owner of Charlotte Sports Performance and Rehab, she incorporates Yoga therapy into many of her therapy plans and continues to attend continuing education courses to help strengthen her knowledge and skill set. She integrates her performance and biomechanics training into Yoga as she works with her patients, yoga students and instructors.
